Travel to Wat Prasat Thong, the Muay Thai learning center established by descendants of Nai Khanom Tom, the legendary Muay Thai fighter of the Ayutthaya period who, as legend has it, defeated 9 Burmese boxers without a break. Learn about the art and ancient history of Muay Thai during the afternoon. |

Arrive at Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, one of the most historically significant and the most-visited temple in Ayutthaya. Wat Yai Chaimongkhon is well known for its outstanding architecture typical to the style of the Ayutthaya period. Admire the tallest pagoda in Ayutthaya and the palace of King Naresuan the Great. |

Head to Wat Phanan Choeng. |

Arrive at Wat Phanan Choeng, one of the oldest and another hugely significant temple in Ayutthaya. This temple is globally famous for its Buddha image called ‘Luang Phor To’ or ‘Sam Po Kong’, which is highly revered Thai and Chinese Buddhists. |

Head to Ayutthaya Elephant Camp. |

Arrive at the camp, which was formerly known as ‘Pang Chang Ayutthaya’ (the name was changed to bring about good luck). The camp is dedicated to preserving and breeding Thai elephants, and follows a standardized system of looking after the giant animals. It was also the first elephant camp in the world to start a successful elephant breeding program of a certain type, which you can learn all about – and see the results yourself with many baby elephants having been born here. Have fun feeding the elephants too. |

Head to Wat Mahathat. |

Arrive at Wat Mahathat. The most iconic feature of this temple is the ancient Buddha head nestled inside the winding tree roots. The head of this sandstone Buddha image is the only part left of the original statue, entwined in Bodhi tree roots close to the temple. |

Head to Ayothaya Floating Market. |

Arrive at Ayothaya Floating Market. The highlight of this floating market is the fact that each of the buildings and noteworthy spots were named after every Amphoes (districts) in Ayutthaya, which enables visitors to remember the names and local products of each one of Ayutthaya’s distinct areas. |
