Listen to the story and history of Nakhon Si Thammarat while visiting City Pillar Shrine and City Wall of Nakhon Si Thammarat. Stop by to admire the magnificent Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan, an important temple of this province. |

Learn about the diverse cultural background of the area, including musical instruments for shadow play and the shadows are made. This local Southern performance art has its own beauty and is unique from other regions in Thailand. |

Travel to Promloke Village, which is plentiful in terms of natural resources. The combination of waterfalls, forests and mountains results in diverse food selections, including various fruits, traditional herbs, and local vegetables that all can be used in cooking a delicious and healthy meal. |

Arrives at the village and receive a warm welcome from the villagers and listen to the background history of Promloke Village. |

- Hop on a converted red truck (with seats), kind of like a community bus, before heading on a mini-adventure through Khao Luang National Park where you’ll learn all about the diverse eco-system along the way. The aim of this trip is to learn and understand the importance of Khao Luang, which is considered an essential natural resource, including being a water source for the area.
- Visit Suan Somrom to learn how to grow vegetables and fruits in the community’s forest such as Pra Tree, mangosteen, and durian, among others
- Together, harvest vegetables along the way and prepare lunch (using different types of vegetables)

Bicycle along the surrounding village as well as having conversation with villagers. Enjoy a relaxing leisure time |

Visit the village’s evening market, which is where many of the villagers gather to sell their home-grown fruit and vegetables. Here, we’ll all get to see plenty of traditional local food and delicacies, as well as some rather strange fruit and vegetables that are rarely seen elsewhere in Thailand – all for sale! |

Have fun making Khanom La, a traditional Southern dessert, especially in Nakhon Si Thammarat. It is one of the five major desserts that feature in the “Tenth Month Festival”. Khanom La symbolizes silk and garments that are traditionally given to ancestors. |

Travel to Baan Laem Village, a small and friendly Muslim fishermen community. This village is yet another place that reaps the benefits from Khao Luang. Although the community is located at the river mouth, it is also plentiful in terms of natural resources – especially sea clay which, is considered a ‘pool of gold’ for the community. |

Travel to Baan Laem Village and enjoy some leisure time for the rest of the evening. |
Day 5 |

Meet together at the port and take a boat to sea. Experience the fishermen’s way of life early in the morning, with a mesmeric view of the sunrise not to be missed.
- Visit the bountiful mangrove forest and learn how balance is created within the ecosystem.
- Watch as the fishermen take out their boats to catch fish in the ocean.
- Breakfast is served on the boat (coffee, sticky rice, egg custard, deep-fried dough stick, and spicy rice salad with vegetables).
- Try a mud spa, which uses quality natural mud that helps moisturize and detoxify the skin.
